Contact Please
click the "Give Feedback" button at the top of each page to provide
your comments. This assures that your comments come right to
us. (We purposely do not publish an email address so that we
don't miss you as your email could go into our spam folder.)
History This
directory started before 1997 as a hard copy list of like minded
providers in Cincinnati, OH. The list grew and grew as
people added their names and we began storing it on a bulletin
board. From there, it was posted as a website in 1997 and people
began submitting their info from outside the area. We made a
decision to post them on a links page and then this page got too big so
we just kept splitting the directory out into loadable pages as regions
of entries grew. (In those days, people use dial up modems and
the website was entered in raw html code.) As they say, the rest
is history.
Accuracy This
directory is completely maintained by users. Please
report any out of date listings
by clicking the update button at the top of each page or the Give
Feedback button. Listers
are completely responsible for maintaining their
listing and it's accuracy. Sometimes they move or pass over
without letting us know;)
PrivacyWe
respect your
privacy. Our directory is intended for clients to find you so
please report any unwanted
or unsolicited mail or phone
calls to us immediately. By posting your email or phone number
on
any website, you open yourself to unsolicited mail or phone
calls.
Email harvesters, via spam bots, roam the internet very easily and
collect the email
addresses listed on web
pages. This is unauthorized use of our directory and must be
reported
by you for it to stop. We do not sell or rent your email.
$ecurity Your payments are processed by a secure
server which encrypts your information. We
never see your
payment information so it is never on file or accessed by
us. You must pay each year as we do not automatically
charge you.
Changes You
may change your
listing at any time or report out-of-date listings by clicking the
Update button at the top of each
page. You are completely responsible for maintaining your own listing.
Tracking We do
not track people who
access our site or set cookies.
We encourage centers, health food
stores, metaphysical stores,
etc. to
print
appropriate sections of the directory and post on their bulletin
boards or distribute. Our webiste is maintained in a simple text
format for this reason. Our copyright and website address
should
be included.
Spam We
have an extensive
directory.
Sending
unsolicited email or making unsolicited phone calls to our listers
is a violation of our trust, against our policy, grounds for expulsion
and/or further action by ourselves and others. It is also against
the Anti-Spam act and subject to fines. (Under Bill s.1618 TITLE
III passed by the 105th US Congress email letters cannot be considered
spam as long as the sender includes contact information & a method
of removal. However, our terms of service are more
stringent.)
Please consider this to avoid unwanted penalties and misunderstandings.
The key to dealing with spam is to report it immediately to a 3rd party. (Remember, they didn't send the spam and are probably just as anti-spam as you are.) (1) Immediately report the spam to the ISP the spammer used to connect to the internet and include the full header (i.e. abuse@yahoo.com, hotmail, gmail, aol, etc.). Many emails are cloaked or use an alias email address so this may not work. (2) If the spam is coming from a website email address, report the spam to the web host. If this bounces, then go to Whois, the directory of registered domain names: http://www.netsol.com/cgi-bin/whois/whois Type in the spammer's domain (the website address that appears in the spam) together with the extension (.com, .org, .net etc.). The host for that domain will usually be listed as the Technical Contact in the Whois record and there will be an email address for contacting them. (3) If the spam is selling from an affiliate program, report it to the affiliate program. Send a copy of the email to abuse@affiliateprogramdomain.com Affiliate programs usually have strict spam policies and take immediate action to shut the abuser down. Abuse In
addition to the above violations, submitting your listing again and
again or emailing info again and again is considered abuse of our terms
and terminates
your listing. We process all our forms and emails by
hand. Spamming us or our hotline with multiple forms, emails or
requests,
delays the response time for everyone and diminishes our ability to
serve all.
Violations If
you believe that these standards have been violated, notify us
immediately by clicking the "Give Feedback" button at the top of each
page so that we may resolve the situation and notify the proper
resources.
